There is a lot of confusion about fats in general.

Understanding the truth about good and bad fats will allow you to level up your health game and live larger when it comes to your nutrition.

Just in case you didn’t already know: Industrial seed oils are bad. Bad news. Bad for your health. Just going to put that out there right now.

In this article, I will give the facts about what you need to know about fats and why you should avoid industrial seed oils altogether plus some alternatives options because your health is totally worth it.

Which Fats to Include and Which to Eliminate

You have my permission.

Be that pain in the ass customer who orders everything with modifications.

Have your food cooked in butter (100% Grass Fed) or coconut oil.

Your health is totally worth the breath of air you have to use to ask the server for the modification, the extra dollar tip, and all of your cells in your body will thank you later.

Why? A lot of fats used in the world today are made from industrial seed oils.

Industrial seed oils are not recommended because they…

  1. Cause inflammation
  2. Cause you to store and keep unwanted fat on your body
  3. Cause disease
  4. Clog your arteries
  5. Can cause birth defects
  6. Can age your body and brain

Is any of that worth NOT asking for a modification?

Okay Krista, so what fats can I eat, buy, or ask for?

  1. Butter – most common for restaurants to have
  2. Olive Oil – make sure its 100% and not a blend
  3. Macadamia nut oil
  4. Coconut oil
  5. Animal fats (lard and tallow)
  6. Palm oil
  7. Any other artisanal produced unrefined oil

Anything else, excuse my French, you can assume is bullsh*t.

By bullsh*t I mean:

  1. Canola oil
  2. Soy oil
  3. Sunflower il
  4. Cottonseed oil
  5. Corn oil
  6. Grapeseed oil
  7. Safflower oil
  8. Margarine
  9. Bullshit
  10. Bullshit
  11. Bullshit

The bottom line and easy trick to remember: Nature doesn’t make bad fats, food processing plants do!
